Diesel Rotary UPS - KINETIC MODULE

A Diesel Rotary UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) with coaxial rotor kinetic energy storage combines a diesel engine, an electromagnetic clutch, alternator, and kinetic energy module into a single, compact system providing uninterruptible power with seamless transition to generated power.

In normal operation, the system conditions incoming power while simultaneously storing kinetic energy in a high-speed rotating mass (coaxial rotor).

In the event of a power loss, stored kinetic energy instantly bridges the gap until the diesel engine starts and takes over, ensuring uninterrupted power delivery without the need for batteries.

Diesel Rotary UPS - FLYWHEEL MODULE

A Diesel Rotary UPS (DRUPS) with a rigid flywheel for kinetic energy storage which is used to deliver instant power during outages.

Like coaxial rotor systems, the rigid flywheel is mechanically decoupled to the diesel engine via an electromagnetic clutch.

During a Mains power loss, the stored energy bridges the gap until the diesel engine starts and takes over.

This configuration provides a reliable, battery-free solution for critical applications, with unique mechanical and energy transfer characteristics compared to coaxial designs.

H-PCON
Power Stabiliser

The Hitzinger H-PCON stabiliser is a high-performance power conditioning system designed to enhance the quality and reliability of electrical supply in environments with unstable or fluctuating grid conditions.

Operating without a diesel engine, it functions as a stand-by solution that supports critical loads during brown-outs by providing a clean, conditioned power source. Key features include power factor correction (up to unity), harmonic suppression compliant with G5/4 standards, and protection against voltage peaks, drops, and frequency instability.

This is achieved through a combination of a synchronous motor, alternator, coupling choke, and kinetic energy storage module, which together stabilise the mains supply and ensure a high-quality feed to sensitive electrical loads.
